Strategic alliance creates better industry information source

The strategic alliance of two major voices for the emerging “new Las Vegas” will result in a better, more accurate and more detailed information source for the vertical industry.

The Las Vegas High-Rise & Condominium Association (LVHCA) is partnering with the publishers of the Las Vegas Hi Rise Handbook to make the quarterly publication more readily available to its members and others interested in accurate, timely information about the vertical market.

The alliance has enabled the publishers of the Las Vegas Hi Rise Handbook to include previously unavailable information such as resale dates and prices on a per-unit basis for completed and ongoing projects. It is now the only industry resource which provides pricing comparisons for resales.

The new version of the Las Vegas Hi Rise Handbook will be available for the first time at the Crystal Ball Seminar at Texas Station on April 24.

“This is a huge benefit to our association and our members,” LVHCA President Kiki Bandilla said. “It will also make this great resource available to more people who are interested in the high-rise residential industry, from developers and REALTORS® to investors and members of the news media. We’re honored to be teaming up with SalesTraq’s™ Larry Murphy and Steve Bottfeld, who represents the publisher on this important resource.”

Bottfeld, a member of the LVHCA Development Council, is a longtime local housing analyst and is executive vice president of Marketing Solutions. The Las Vegas Hi Rise Handbook began quarterly publication four years ago. The issue that debuts at Crystal Ball will contain previously unreleased sales and price data.

Hi Rise Handbook – add 1

“Producing this research resource in conjunction with the LVHCA is a win for everyone involved,” Bottfeld said. “This book now has more valuable information – and even more credibility.”

The Las Vegas Hi Rise Handbook is available in book or CD formats, which retail at $359 and $199 respectively. He said those who attend the Crystal Ball Seminar on local housing and real estate issues that day at the Texas Station hotel-casino can buy the CD for $99 and the book for $259. As part of its partnership, Bandilla said the CD and handbook will also be sold at the same prices at LVHCA special events.

At the April 24 seminar, Bottfeld will discuss the current and future state of the local real estate market. Also, Larry Murphy, president of Salestraq™ in Las Vegas and another LVHCA Development Council member, will present local housing statistics for the first quarter of 2008. Seminar registration is available at CrystalBallSeminars.com.

The LVHCA holds monthly breakfast meetings on the third Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the Cili restaurant at Bali Hai Golf Club, located at 5160 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The next meeting is April 18. The meetings are open to the public. The cost is $10 for members and $30 for non-members who RSVP in advance. The price increases by $10 at the door. To register, visit www.lvhca.com or call Patty Fournier at 286-0912.
