Richard E. Lee

Richard Lee gets called names all the time... from real estate guru and futurist to the premier development expert and the top public speaker and salesman in Las Vegas.
 
More formally, Richard Lee is vice president and director of public relations for First American Title Company.
 
Since 1989, Lee has been the industry’s “go-to guy...” informing and guiding the Las Vegas real estate community on development and growth. Developers, business owners, real estate investors and gaming companies have all relied on his services and insight for investment, lending and acquisitions.  He travels and lectures across America, Asia, and Europe, and is consistently rated as a top speaker for his motivating, upbeat, entertaining style.
 
Simply put, Richard Lee reduces a tidal wave of information into entrepreneurial opportunities.
 
Richard Lee is an Idaho native and a graduate of Brigham Young University. A Las Vegas resident for nearly two decades, Lee serves as a member of the Board of Southern Hills Hospital, the Governor’s Work Force Investment Board and is a director for the Boy Scouts Las Vegas Area Council. He was recently honored as “visionary of the Year” at the Las Vegas Real Estate Expo, and “Professional Person of the Year” by the Asian Chamber of Commerce. He has been honored by In Business as “One of the Most Influential Businessmen in Southern Nevada.”  


Lebene Aidam-Ohene
Clark County

 
 
Lebene Aidam-Ohene is an Assistant Planning Manager with the Clark County Comprehensive Planning Department.  In this capacity, her responsibilities include managing and coordinating the review and approval of Special and High Impact Projects including mixed-uses, resort hotels/casinos, high-rises, and projects within the resort corridor (‘The Strip” and it’s environs), other major developments projects and adult uses within other areas of un-incorporated Clark County.  She manages the team that coordinates and negotiates Development Agreements for High Impact Project for Clark County.  In addition Lebene coordinates and manages the Team that prepares reports, recommendations and presentations of land use applications for High Impact Project before the Planning Commissions and Board of County Commissioners.  She makes presentations on land use developments and issues before the Board of Count y Commissioners, other Boards, Committees, Community Groups, Governmental Agencies and Professional Groups.  
 
Lebene worked on Project CityCenter, Fontainebleau Resort, Echelon Place Resort, and Palazzo the expansion of the Venetian Resort, which are either currently under construction or completed and completed the negotiations and approvals of the Development Agreements for the first three and other development projects. She is currently completing the negotiations on the Development Agreements for a number projects including the, Tropicana Mega Resort, Sands Expo Center Annex, Marriott Resort as well as coordinating the approval of a number of  development projects and negotiating the Agreements for other High Impact Projects. Lebene has lived in Las Vegas for 18.5 years and worked for Clark County for 17 years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Psychology and a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and is a member of the American Planning Association.


Bill Arent
City of Las Vegas

Bill Arent is currently redevelopment manager for the city of Las Vegas Office of Business Development. As redevelopment manager, he manages professional staff supporting the city of Las Vegas Redevelopment Agency.  Employed with the city since 1997, he has held numerous positions in housing development, economic  development, and re- development. He is the senior project manager for Union Park, and has negotiated development agreements for the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute, the Smith Center for the Performing Arts and the World Jewelry Center.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Administration from UNLV. He is certified as an economic development finance professional by the National Development Council and as a certified economic developer by the International Economic Development Council.

 

Peggy Proestos
North Las Vegas

Peggy Proestos is manager of the Business Development Division for the city of North Las Vegas. The division is responsible for marketing North Las Vegas to the development community.
 
During her time with the city, she has acted as facilitator to bring many new companies to North Las Vegas, including: Monster.com, Qualcomm, Desert Glass, Meadow Gold Dairy, Southwest Ambulance, Spacecraft Components and many more.

Proestos, a Florida native, has worked in the economic development field for 31 years in six different states.  She first came to Las Vegas in 1985 to work in the Department of Economic & Urban Development for the city of Las Vegas.  In 1989, she decided to move to California and later to Florida for a brief time but soon returned in 1994 to take on the role of senior development project officer for the city of Las Vegas.
 
She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.  Proestos also completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Management Excellence Program at the University of Delaware.

 

Scott Majewski
City of Henderson

Scott is Principal Planner for the City of Henderson. And has been a professional planner for the last 11 years.  Scott has a B.S.
in Environmental Planning and Policy from University of Wisconsin -
Green Bay and a Masters of Urban Planning from University of Wisconsin -
Milwaukee.  Scott is a member of the American Planning Association and
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
